Student housing is a major issue in the Netherlands, the shortage of housing leads to students camping out for the first couple of months of the semester. Besides the housing crisis, the Netherlands is a dense populated country, where a lot of students are traveling in-between cities.
INSIGHT
It’s cheaper to live in a train as student instead of a dorm.
CONCEPT
The sprïnter_kït. A kit which provides everything to live life in a train. The fictional collaboration between Ikea and NS exaggerate the struggle and cynical solution to this major challenge.
